The Telltale series is a connection – in the game to the Marvel movies, though it tells a very different story. The dust has settled on the Walking Dead, and the dust settles on Guardians of the Galaxy Episode One, the first of a series of four games in the series. Playing style , there are many similarities between the story of Guardians and the story that can be found in Telltelltale’s games before that, but they are published close together. Having already made good on its promise to abandon the traditional narrative style of its predecessors, Tell Tale Games looks like it’s on its way with the first Marvel adaptation. Overall, this is a decent start for an episodic series, but there is still plenty of room for improvement. The Telltale series would be a game with bugs, and I think there are many of them from which I will recover over time. All in all, I would recommend Guardians of the Galaxy Episode One, the first of four games in the series. In the eyes of many people, Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Guardians of the Galaxy is the definitive version of this team, so it should come as no surprise that the game is not tied to the film, but contains elements of James Gunn’s team. There is no doubt that this group will save the galaxy, as they nail their humor without it being out of place or exaggerated. Sources: 12, 16
The influence of these games is very evident in Guardians of the Galaxy the Telltale Series and holds up well on its own. You are never allowed to allow the player to connect fully while you play through the story in one go. Sources: 11, 15
If you’re a fan of the Telltale series, you must abandon Episode 1 of Guardians The Galaxy to consider this. The fairytale series is definitely worth the price of $15 for the first episode and $20 for all four episodes. Sources: 11, 17

Guardians of the Galaxy shows that there’s still something appealing about Telltale’s stories and that they can adapt a franchise. The pressure could have been great and could have been good, but overall I don’t think they did their job well against Guardians of The Galaxy. Of course, the most important part of a tell-tale game is the story, and I’m not sure how I feel about the direction Guardians of the Galaxy is taking. There were a few moments when I wasn’t sure if it would stay as funny as I hoped it would or how it would go, but I enjoyed it. The Telltale series is simply a fantastic little adventure that explores the history of the Guardian while telling the story of his relationship with his father and his journey to the Guardians. When I saw the conclusion, my expectations were more than fulfilled with Marvel’s Guardians of The Galaxy. Guardians Of The Galaxy is based on the upgraded “Telltale Engine” used for Batman: The Tell Tale Series, and it takes the “Telltale Adventure” formula to the next level with the best graphics I’ve ever seen in a Tell Tale series, and built-in controls. Although it is plagued by bugs, glitches and conflicting scripts, the problem I have seen in some of the newer tell-tale games does not translate to this game and continues. Sources: 2, 3, 20, 21
But if Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series can show us anything, it’s how well the studio has finally managed to create battle scenarios that work. The first episode of Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy is “Out of Blue,” and it was a pleasant surprise. Don’t Stop Believing ‘wasn’t the strongest episode on the show, but it marked the beginning of a new chapter in the “Telltale” series and a great start to history.
